Steve
has been playing in Big bands continuously since the age
of 14 including bands led by Bob Coassin, Ralph Pyl, Judy
Bailey's "Jazz Connection", "Swing Thing"
big band, "Jive at Five" big band, and now "Swing
City".
Steve
has performed with many of these bands (as well as smaller
combos) at Manly's Jazz and Food & wine festivals.
Steve
studied Jazz at Sydney Conservatorium of Music - learning
from Col Loughnan and Gordon Brisker.
Toured
Perth with "Swing Thing"
Played
saxes, clarinet, and flute in the show bands on both Fair
Princess, and Norwegian Star cruise ships. Norwegian Star
for three months.
Currently
playing in numerous bands around Sydney, and teaching sax
and clarinet both privatley and in local schools.
